Welcome to English Learning with TALA.
This course has the Common Core Standards for Grade 7-10 English

This course will assist you in learning; reading, writing, speaking, listening and language
in an effort to help students improve in English and to fluently read and write to all subject areas.

We will cover a range of topics, from grammar and vocabulary building,
reading comprehension and creative writing. We will also delve into the study of literature,
where you will have the opportunity to analyse and appreciate various works of fiction and nonfiction.

Throughout the course, you will be given opportunities to practise and apply what you have learned
through writing assignments, group discussions and writing assignments, group discussion, and presentations.
Our goal is to help you become confident and competent English speakers and writers,
who can communicate effectively in a variety of settings.
